The online and mobile channels for Chase currently support more than 32 million active customers; 9 million customers interact with us daily, making Chase the most visited banking portal in the US. Within Consumer and Community Banking, the Digital IT team is responsible for setting and executing strategies that align with business objectives and drive innovation across Chase Online and Mobile, helping to establish the best Digital banking customer experience in the industry.
Self-service account management (SSAM) is focused on transforming data management to driving convergence and standardization across Chase. SSAM encompasses multiple applications and platforms which support credit, debit and other platforms end-to-end from acquirer to issuer.
As a developer with the SSAM team you will be instrumental in and responsible for designing and developing high quality applications and solutions that address business needs by delivering new capabilities to customers and merchants. This will include designing and developing or enhancing transaction processing applications, including building and testing of heterogeneous interfaces across the ecosystem. The ideal candidate will be proficient with enterprise applications developed using Java, Spring framework, with hands on experience on Enterprise Integration Patterns. Candidates with exposure to Big Data technologies like Spark, Cassandra, Kafka will be preferred.
Responsibilities:
Design and Develop SSAM platform and applications
Work closely with business analyst, quality assurance, and project management resources throughout delivery of solutions
Self-starter, independently takes initiative in driving assignments to completion and solving problems
Proactively identify gaps in all processes, procedures, monitors, alerts, designs, etc. and provide recommendations on how to resolve
Mandatory skills:
6+ years' experience with maven, Java, spring based micro-service application design and development
Experience on messaging paradigms e.g. JMS or Kafka
Experience on Unit testing and Integration testing framework
Experience in Agile development lifecycle methodology
Good analytical, communication and problem-solving skills
Nice to have skills:
Experience with Spark, Hadoop and Cassandra.
Experience with GIT / BitBucket
Experience with batch scheduling tools (like Control-M)
