The successful candidate will join a group of 15+ engineers across the NA, EMEA and APAC regions. Together we are responsible for the development and maintenance of the execution platform which hosts Algo Trading businesses for FX, Rates and Commodities.
The role will involve close collaboration with business partners and established team members to further build on the current Rates Algo order offering
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain electronic trading components
Use low-level programming techniques to produce highly optimized, low-latency trading software
Second line support backing up the 1st line operate team
Qualifications
Confident Core Java developer
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Maths, Stats, Physics, or similar experience
Ability to work collaboratively in a global team on long-term technical problems
Possess a great attention to detail
Ability to analyse and fix problems quickly
Capable of working independently as well as part of a team
Able to learn quickly and apply new skills effectively
Preferences
Strong Linux/Unix, and knowledge of networking topologies, TCP + UDP
Knowledge of FIX protocol
Low latency middleware, for example: Informatica ultra messaging
Scripting skills, python will be an advantage
Experience working with eTrading systems
